[Recipe] Cocoa-Nut Treats

Bite sized snacks that can be prepared well in advance are definitely my favorites. And these little power balls are no exception! They are super easy to prepare and make an excellent sweet treat. All you need are almonds, dates, cocoa, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Yummy!

  • 2 cups Raw Almonds, soaked 8 hours or overnight, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup Dried Dates
  • 2 Tbsp. Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla Extract liquid OR 2 tsp. Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon Powder

Into food processor place almonds, dates, cocoa, vanilla and cinnamon. Blitz until well combined.

Firmly push the mixture into an ice cube tray with your fingers or rubber spatula. Freeze 2-3 hour (or overnight) before removing from the tray (I use a knife with a rounded tip the get them out of the tray).

Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer. Enjoy as desired.
