[Useful NZ Website] FreeForAll

FreeForAll is a Wellington based waste reduction initiative. Their focus is on reducing 75% of the waste destined for landfills and supplying communities with free household items that still have plenty of use left in them. FreeForAll has been operating in the Wellington area for 3 years and has now been opened up to all of New Zealand.

The concept is very simple. You have an item you don’t want anymore. You list it on FreeForAll. Someone decides they want your item and reserves it. You both get in contact and arrange collection.

My EXPERIENCE with FreeForAll

ACCOUNT SETUP – Setting up an account with FreeForAll is very easy and straight forward. It took me lest than 2 minutes.

RESERVING AN ITEM – To reserve an item simply click the reserve button and a box opens to message the sharer.

LISTING AN ITEM – Listing an item was very easy (much easier than TradeMe). It took me about 3 minutes but that may have just been because I was loading multiple photos. All in all a five star experience.

HAVING AN ITEM RESERVED – I received an automated message from FreeForAll immediately alerting me to the reservation; which included a message from the reservee. We arranged a pickup time within 72 hours. And all went very smoothly.

COMPLETE – I completed the share in FreeForAll by clicking the ‘complete’ button so other users will know the item is no longer available. This was a very easy process and I was glad to see my unwanted item going to good use.
